MAURTEN BICARB SYSTEM
Maurten's Bicarb System is to bicarbonate what Maurten's Gel 100 and Drink Mixes are to carbohydrates: it uses hydrogel technology to encapsulate bicarbonate and allow athletes to better withstand high concentrations.
Lactate isn't necessarily the enemy: it's a fuel source generated during intense anaerobic exercise. It's the increased acidity during these efforts that overloads the muscles and leads to exhaustion.
High doses of sodium bicarbonate can counteract the negative effects of this increased acidity, but not without consequences. Athletes may suffer from gastric problems that negate any potential performance gains.
The Bicarb System has found the solution to offer a smooth and efficient bicarbonate experience.
To each their own Bicarb System
Maurten's Bicarb System portions are available in several sizes: 12, 15, 19, 22, and 25. It's a customized solution, with the quantity varying according to the athlete's weight and bicarbonate intake. Generally, the heavier an athlete is, the larger the portion size should be. However, if they have never consumed bicarbonate before, a larger quantity of Bicarb System will not necessarily lead to better performance, as the intestines need time to adjust.

Maurten Bicarb digital system
Preparation is key, and adequate bicarbonate intake requires precise planning. Ideally, Bicarb System should be taken 1 to 2 hours after a meal, such as breakfast, and 1.5 to 2 hours before starting high-intensity training or competition.
Each Maurten Bicarb System includes a QR code for accessing the digital Bicarb system, created by our nutrition scientists to make planning, preparing for, and executing a workout or race more intuitive. You can count on your personal nutritionist when it comes to baking soda!
Attention :
It is recommended not to frequently exceed 0.75 g/kg of sodium bicarbonate per week, which corresponds to 2 or 3 weekly doses.
