AGILE. BALANCED. VERSATILE
The ALUTO is built for performance. In races. For long adventures. On all types of terrain. With a design focused on liveliness, elasticity, and responsiveness, the ALUTO is built for riders who want a balanced bike that combines Factor-like handling with the perfect synergy between speed and performance. With geometry optimized for changing terrain and long rides, the ALUTO has been engineered for agility thanks to short chainstays, a steep head tube, a short wheelbase, and a lower bottom bracket to lower the center of gravity and accommodate the increased height of gravel tires. The tube shapes and carbon layup have been carefully considered to provide stiffness where needed and forgiveness where needed. It's a lively, light, and dynamic bike. A pocket knife. With a razor-sharp edge.
Balanced racing geometry
Increasing tire clearance isn't just about widening the fork and seat stays. The increased tire volume directly impacts handling and geometry. The ALUTO's geometry has been optimized around 45mm tires, with a maximum clearance of 47mm at the rear. This balanced choice ensures precise and responsive handling. Compared to the OSTRO Gravel, the ALUTO has a slightly steeper head angle and similarly short chainstays to maintain a shorter wheelbase and improve agility. We've lowered the bottom bracket to move the center of gravity down, which stabilizes the bike and balances the shorter wheelbase, while also improving control on varied terrain. With a slightly higher stack than the OSTRO Gravel, the ALUTO offers greater adaptability to a wider range of riders without compromising an ideal racing position.
Functional integration
Long-distance riding, training, and exploration demand not only high-performance design but also functional integration. Downtube storage provides an aerodynamic and secure solution, allowing riders to stow tools and other essential accessories without the need for a saddlebag or handlebar bag, both of which create significant drag. Whether your ride is 30 or 300 kilometers, having a safe place to store your tire repair kit and multi-tool will allow you to address all the most common mechanical issues. The ALUTO frame is compatible only with electronic drivetrains with hydraulic brakes, eliminating the need for additional holes and ports for mechanical drivetrains. Internal cable routing is designed for easy cable routing while offering a clean aesthetic and optimal protection.
Designed for modern gravel racing
The goal of the ALUTO was to design a fast bike, equally at home on rough asphalt and technical mountain trails. Single-speed and double-speed compatibility was an important consideration, as it allows riders to configure the bike for their most likely use. Cyclists more oriented towards road riding and light gravel routes will likely prefer the double-speed option, while those seeking a frame better suited to off-road adventures will appreciate the ability to integrate a single-speed without adding bulk. Numerous bottle cage mounts and a Bento box allow for versatility across all configurations, from minimalist racing to lightweight adventure setups. A round (27.2) seatpost with an external clamp offers both ease of adjustment and compatibility with dropper posts. Finally, the now ubiquitous UDH-compatible rear dropouts ensure drivetrain flexibility and protect the frame from future upgrades.
