The OSTRO Gravel takes its “conquer anywhere” mindset from its road racing sibling, the OSTRO VAM, and is also built to dominate its class with incredible aerodynamics, superior handling, high stiffness and low weight. A REAL GRAVEL AERO

Gravel racing is fast and aerodynamics really matter, but it’s not as fast as road racing, so the demands are different. The OSTRO Gravel frame is carefully optimized for the speeds you’ll be riding at. Our team used a “zonal” aerodynamic strategy that focused on the front of the bike for aerodynamics because it encounters clean airflow, or free airflow, and the rear of the bike for lightness, where the airflow is too chaotic and ride quality is the priority. A lot of time was spent on the head tube in particular, where a new tube shape helped significantly reduce drag by manipulating the “laminar separation bubble” that occurs near the front of the airfoils at low speeds. The technology is rooted in aerospace, but all you really need to know is that the OSTRO Gravel will get you to the finish line faster—in minutes, not seconds.

Clearance for 45mm tires

The OSTRO Gravel offers a generous 45mm of tyre clearance in both 700c and 650b, giving you options and possibilities to tackle the toughest routes and events. This is a real-world measurement, with 4mm of clearance per side in line with ISO standards, so the OSTRO Gravel is extremely capable in muddy conditions. This was proven at the king of gravel races, the 2022 Unbound 200, where heavy rain made the course brutal and the OSTRO Gravel was used to a top-10 finish.

BLACK INC THIRTY FOUR carbon gravel wheels

The new Black Inc THIRTY FOUR wheels are – just like the OSTRO Gravel itself – dedicated to gravel speed. Their 34mm depth maximises aerodynamic gains while keeping weight to a minimum and avoiding a high combined rim and tyre lateral area, ensuring stability in crosswinds. They are the most aerodynamic with a 32mm tyre for all-round use, but are also very efficient for gravel tyres up to 43mm. The 25mm internal width allows wider tyres to take a better shape. The hookless rim is designed to make it easier to mount tubeless tyres, in most cases with a normal pump. The rim includes a secondary shoulder that holds the tyre securely in place in the event of rapid deflation, allowing you to stop in a controlled manner. The Black Inc hubs are equipped with CeramicSpeed ​​bearings for ultimate efficiency.

  • CARBON COMPLIANCE AND AERO PERFORMANCE

    Using our in-house carbon expertise, we precisely shaped the OSTRO GRAVEL’s tubes to create a tuned ride with optimized performance characteristics. The head tube received an entirely new shape compared to the road OSTRO VAM to improve its aerodynamic properties at gravel speeds. The rest of the frame uses the proven OSTRO VAM tube profiles, delivering both lively performance and aerodynamic efficiency.

  • ELECTRONIC SHIFTING AND DISC BRAKES ONLY

    In line with cyclists' demands and to reduce aerodynamic drag and weight, the OSTRO GRAVEL is designed exclusively for electronic groupsets and disc brakes. Cable and hose routing is completely internal.

HANDLEBAR AND STEM COMPATIBILITY

While the OSTRO Gravel is ideally matched with the Black Inc integrated handlebar stem, we designed the front of the frame to be easily compatible with various third-party internal routing systems, allowing you to always have the exact contact points you want.

PROVEN ROUND HEAD TUBE

Our engineers opted for a round head tube, recognized as the most durable solution for serious gravel and racing. 1-½" upper and lower bearings with a modified split race allow cables to pass through the bearing, making maintenance easier.

T47 BOTTOM BRACKET STANDARD

The T47 standard for threaded bottom brackets ensures a secure fit and easy maintenance. It allows the use of a wide range of crank diameters and helps keep the bottom bracket shell strong for exceptional power transfer.
