THE EXCEPTIONAL COMFORT CARD

As an aero race bike that has proven itself on the cobbles of Paris-Roubaix, the OSTRO VAM will also be ideal for the roughest and longest roads. Its remarkably smooth ride is due to several factors. First, the choice and layout of the carbon fibers allows for a high level of compliance in the frame without sacrificing power transfer efficiency. At the rear, pencil-thin seatstays are designed to absorb road vibrations and dampen bumps. The ability to fit tires up to 32mm wide only enhances the OSTRO’s comfort-focused design features.

DESIGNED FOR SPEED

The goal was to create the lightest aerodynamically oriented bike in the pro peloton. The OSTRO VAM is a bike that can be competitive on any terrain. It’s ready to win sprints, conquer cobbled classics, and climb climbs with the best.

  • ULTRA THIN AERO SEAT POST

    The seatpost is slim, with a width of 15mm, in line with the latest UCI regulations. Its profile is the result of intensive study of its interaction with the chaotic airflow coming from the rider’s legs and a tireless research and development process. First, incremental iterations were tested in simulation, then rapid prototypes of the best shapes were tested in the wind tunnel to achieve the best performance. The new slim seatpost is made possible by relocating the Shimano Di2 battery housing inside the seat tube and mounted from the rear of the bottom bracket. This has the added benefit of avoiding the need to remove the seatpost to access the battery, reducing the risk of incorrect adjustment resulting in incorrect height, slippage or damage due to over-tightening.

  • INTEGRATED AERO BOTTLE HOLDERS

    The VAM OSTRO features innovative bottle cages, specific to each location and integrated into the aerodynamics of the frame. The down tube bottle cage directs airflow from the down tube to a bottle, thus neutralizing the drag associated with adding a bottle to the bike. The seat tube bottle cage connects airflow to the seat tube and is so effective that the bike is faster with the bottle cage mounted and without a bottle than with no bottle cage at all, making it perfect for the final stages of pro races when the second bottle has been discarded.

  • ULTRA-LIGHT SEAT POST CLAMP

    The new push-type seatpost clamp is repositioned to the rear of the seat tube where it distributes the force over a large area to provide a very secure hold with low torque, allowing for a very light clamp and a dramatic reduction in seat tube width. This design has now moved the battery box into the bottom bracket, making it more accessible and convenient.

ELECTRONIC SHIFTING ONLY

In accordance with customer demand and to facilitate the reduction of aerodynamic drag and weight, the OSTRO VAM is exclusively designed for electronic shift groups.

T47 THREADED BOTTOM BRACKET

The T47 standard for threaded bottom brackets ensures a secure fit and easy maintenance. It allows the use of a wide range of bottom bracket diameters and helps keep the bottom bracket strong for exceptional power transfer.

FORK OFFSETS BASED ON SIZE

By basing the fork offset on the frame size, we ensure that the handling characteristics are optimal for all frame sizes, guaranteeing every customer the best riding experience.
