The Perfetto RoS 2 is the jacket for all conditions. If you look closely, you’ll see that the Perfetto RoS 2 is actually a long-sleeved version of the Gabba RoS 2. So is it just a warmer version of the Gabba? Not really. Its long sleeves make it a jacket, but one that’s suitable for a wide range of conditions. Like the Gabba, the RoS badge means that it excels in dry conditions thanks to its high breathability, but also in wet conditions thanks to Castelli’s exclusive GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® fabric. The inner surfaces feature a lightweight, waterproof fabric backed with fleece, while the back is made from a lighter, more elastic fabric that maximizes breathability while ensuring excellent water-repellent properties. The Perfetto RoS 2 Jacket keeps you protected from the wind while being much more breathable than the polyurethane membranes typically used on most jackets that try to compete with it. When you want to stay drier, you don’t need to wear many layers underneath. The beauty of this jacket is that it doesn’t have any insulation on its own, so a thin base layer will be fine for mild temperatures, while adding an insulating layer (a thermal jersey or Castelli’s Alpha second layer) will help you tackle lower temperatures. It’s up to you. The “2” in the name refers to the upgrades that have been made to the latest version, including a YKK® Vislon® zipper that opens from the top and bottom, for more easily adjustable ventilation. The reflective part on the back is more visible, the seam at the top of the shoulders has been moved to the back, and the three pockets can accommodate more stuff.
