CASTELLI AERO RACE 6.0 JERSEY

When Castelli designed the first aero jersey for road racing in 2006, everyone thought we were crazy. Back then, aerodynamics was reserved for time trials. Performance clothing meant moisture management. You could win the Tour de France in a baggy jersey that was barely more sophisticated than a polyester T-shirt. Even our aero consultants expected marginal gains, which is why we called the jersey “fraction of a second.” Today, as then, we know that even modest gains can make a difference. In the end, those gains turned out to be quite substantial, and we completely revolutionized the look of the pro peloton.

We are now on the sixth major revision of our aero jersey. Each new generation has become more aerodynamic and better cut. The Aero Race 6.0 benefits enormously from CFD analysis at the drag level, particularly in terms of the placement of the fabric and the seams in position on the saddle. It also benefits from feedback from professional riders and athletes, as our goal has been to make the jersey as comfortable as possible during their long training hours and during competition in all weather conditions.

Version 6.0 is our most aerodynamic and comfortable jersey to date. But we're already working on 6.1...
