Garmin Hrm Tri Belt

The Garmin TRI belt also offers ground data via an integrated accelerometer, such as cadence, vertical oscillation and ground contact time. The TRI belt is also thinner to be more practical to wear under a wetsuit or tri-suit.

Running Dynamics (Exclusive to the TRI model).

The HRM-Tri monitor has an integrated accelerometer to measure the movements of your torso in order to calculate 3 running data: ²

1. Cadence: number of steps taken per minute. It indicates the total number of steps taken (left and right feet combined).
2. Vertical oscillation: the bounce of your movements during a run. It indicates the vertical movement of your torso, in centimeters. HRM-Tri is compatible with several training products and displays the heart rate if paired.
3. Ground contact time: The time your foot is on the ground for each step you take when running (measured in milliseconds).
